Vancouver is a coastal city located in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia (49°15'N/123°10'W). The population of Vancouver is 578,041in the city itself but including the metropolitan area it is a city of 2,116,581. Also, the area of the city is 114.67 kmin the city itself but the metropolitan area as a whole is 2,878.52 km2. Therefore Vancouver as a whole has a ridiculous population density of 5,335/km2. Vancouver consists of one major category of landforms which is rocks. From ancient seabeds dried up and carved out of rock, or huge mountains and very mountainous regions with out a doubt that is Vancouver's landforms. Vancouver has a very moderate, oceanic climate. Dry summers mostly in July and August can sometimes result in slight drought seasons but the rest of the year, especially October through March, it is very rainy.

Vancouver is located in the Pacific Maritime ecozone. The 2 closest national parks are Jasper National Park and Banff National Park. The 5 main industries you will find in and around Vancouver, BC are mining, forestry, biotech, film, and software industries. Majority of the tourism in Vancouver, BC comes from the many festivals and parties that go on year-round in Vancouver. There are also various camp ground areas that some people may enjoy.
